I’m pretty excited about this collaboration. Jennie from Mint For You Boudoir Photography contacted me ages ago and I’ve finally got my act in gear to collaborate on a photoshoot! I love seeing how different photographers style my items, and I absolutely love the model she worked with, Carmina. She just looks so effortlessly confident and beautiful! And my favourite thing is that they are both based out of Toronto – I love to work with fellow Canadian artists. I really love Jennie’s modern, clean aesthetic. It’s obvous to see she puts a lot of love into what she does.

I’m trying something new… a Giveaway on Instagram! I haven’t done giveaways much over the years, but I am so in the holiday spirit this year that I wanted to share with all of you the only way I know how… with pretty lingerie!

The giveaway is happening on Instagram. Here are the rules:

I’ve faced some of my weaknesses, some skeletons in my closet, had some disappointments, but I’ve overcome so much. 2016 was a rough year for a lot of us (I’m looking at you Hillary). I think we’re all ready for some good cheer and fresh starts… and some pretty new lingerie.

The Etsy Team that I co-manage with Kathleen is running an awesome, gigantic, super amazing give away! I wish I could win… We’ve got art prints, porcelain jewellery, wood veneer note cards, designer cushion covers, handmadeupcycled cashmere dolls, cherry wood serving boards, hand-carved of course! There are so many good things… when I tallied it all up it’s over $340 worth of handmade and vintage goods! 
My contribution to the giveaway is a set of His & Hers Sleep Masks (or Hers and Hers, His and His, or keep them both for yourself!). I’ve been making lots of these masks for guys, and am finally getting around to offering them in my shop…

One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about preparing this giveaway is seeing everyone’s amazing work in person… There are some seriously talented people here!

It seems my Ruffle Bloomers are the most sought after panties I make… so, I am giving a pair away! These normally sell for $30-$40 in my Etsy Shop, but you get a chance to win a pair, in your size for free, free, free!


The ruffle bloomer panties will be made in your choice of small (32-34″ hip), medium (35-37″ hip), or large (38-40″ hip).

To celebrate my 98th blog follower, 50th facebook fan, 1200th shop heart, coming up on my 30th sale, new equipment, new job, (maybe a new car too!)… I’m wanting to hold another Give Away! As you may remember, in the midst of my first give-away my grandmother passed away and my dad had a heart attack. I got an email from the winner when she received my gift, she was so happy and pleased with them that it really brought a ray of sunlight to all of the doom and gloom…

So, I would like to hold another one.

Spring Jacket… in January!

I purchased a huge lot of Vintage patterns off Ebay a few weeks ago, and received it early last week. It has some really special things in it, including a Betsy Johnson pattern from the late 1970’s. I really love the styling of 1970’s clothing – though I often dislike the original choice of fabrics. I am enjoying sewing these up in cottons and other natural fabrics.
Maybe I am feeling extra inspired by the clothing of the ’70’s because we were into the 1970’s in our Oscar Movie Marathon. Last night I slept my way through The Sting but have thoroughly enjoyed The French Connection, The Godfather, and Midnight Cowboy and am really looking forward to watching Annie Hall again! It is one of my all time favourite movies – mostly because I think Annie Hall is a copy of myself.I am super excited about this little jacket – I love the idea of the contrasting lapels and pointy cuffs. It looks very cute with a pair of dark, skinny jeans, but I am excited to make myself a pair of wide-legged pants to go with it. I bound all the seams in the contrast fabric, and added a sewn on facing to the back-neck to hide the collar seam around the neck opening. I really liked the faux-notched collar on this jacket, was really quick and easy to sew!I am also preparing for the give away I mentioned earlier – I should be posting a Great Big Official Give Away Post on Tuesday! Stay tuned!
