Happy Holidays

Uncategorized

We are finally somewhat settled in our new house!
The move was very stressful and there are so many things that need doing still. Today I had to replace the washing machine and we noticed a leak in one of the bathroom ceilings… that on top of all of the other things we knew we had to do with the house!
But, we are enjoying it. We have so much space and it looks pretty as a post card (though all of our snow has melted).
One of the first things I did was paint and set up my studio. Isabel is starting daycare for a couple days a week in the new year and I wanted to have everything set up so that I could get back into the swing of things right away.  My new sewing space takes up the entire finished basement. I have so much room now, but it has really low ceilings so I had to re-organize all of my fabric storage. It’s fine for me, I’m only 5’1″, but if you’re over 6′ it feels pretty cramped.
We will be very busy over the next couple of months. It feels a little stressful with all of the cash that is flowing out of our hands, but that tends to be the way when you buy a new (old) house. I’m looking forward to making it my own and feeling even more at home.
In the meantime I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays! I hope you all get to spend it with the people you love.

Your house is adorable! I know about the cash flow flowing out..sometimes never seems to end. We moved one year a week before Christmas – I know how that is a challenge! Your new sewing spaces sounds devine! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
